VAT

Under UK Customs & Excise Regulations, delegates from all countries are required to pay VAT on any event taking place in the UK.

Payments

All payments must be received within 10 days of booking. Failure to pay within this time may result in the conference place being cancelled. We can accept payment by credit card (download credit card form) or we can accept payment by cheque made payable to “The University of Manchester” (please ensure that you put HSR2010 and your name and address on the back of the cheque) (cheques to be sent to Irene Sung, School of Pharmacy, University of Mancheter, Oxford Road, Manchester M13 9PT). For late registrations (1 month or less before the conference, then payment must be made immediately and cleared before the start of the conference).

Cancellations

All cancellations of conference registration must be sent in writing to Irene Sung, School of Pharmacy, University of Manchester. Payments will be refunded by cheque – we will need the payee details and address where it is to be returned to. Cancellations received: Before/on Feb 1st, payment will be refunded minus 50% of your fee. We regret that refunds cannot be made for cancellations received after Feb 1st, 2010. Refunds will be paid after the Conference. Substitutions are welcome at any time.

HSRPP 2010 reserves the right to change the venue, date, content or speaker of its conferences at any time. In the event that the venue or date is changed HSRPP 2010 will not be responsible for covering airfare, additional hotel or any other costs incurred by the registrants. In the event that HSRPP 2010 cancels the conference, HSRPP 2010 reserves the right to transfer this booking to be held in the following 12 months or will provide a full refund of the conference fee.

There will be no refund in the case of the programme and social events being partially or entirely delayed or cancelled because of events outside HSRPP 2010’s reasonable control. The following events shall be taken to be outside HSRPP 2010’s reasonable control (a) Acts of God, (b) outbreak of hostilities, riot, civil disturbance, acts of terrorism, (c) the act of any government or authority (including refusal or revocation of any license or consent), (d) fire, explosion, flood, leakage of water, fog, high winds or any other weather conditions which, in the opinion of HSRPP 2010 renders the provision of the Service at that time impractical, (e) power failure, failure of telecommunications lines, failure or breakdown of plant, machinery or vehicles, (f) default or delay of or change in arrangements made by suppliers, third party providers or sub-contractors, (g) theft, malicious damage, strike, lock-out or industrial action of any kind, and (h) any cause or circumstances whatsoever beyond HSRPP 2010’s reasonable control.

Confirmation

Telephone bookings are provisional until written confirmation is received either by fax with or by post with full payment. Booking by web, e-mail, fax, post or telephone does not automatically constitute confirmation of a place. We will confirm all bookings by email on receipt of a completed booking form and payment in full. Booking reservations without payment in full will be held on a provisional basis and places cannot be guaranteed. All bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

HSRPP 2010 will endeavour to meet the needs of all delegates and will try to ensure any special requirements are fully met subject to reasonable prior notice. Please state your request at the time of booking.
